Rating/Review System

I cannot, for the life of me, properly talk about a book without including spoilers. I have this innate need to rant about everything so for the sake of my sanity, I’m going to have three parts to each of my reviews.

It’s my concise, non-spoilery critique, and it’ll give you a sense of whether or not you’d be into a specific book (assuming that your taste in books are similar to mine). Just my overall feelings about the book, things I liked, things I didn’t like, and whether or not I enjoyed reading it.

I rate by seashells. Why? Because in another universe, I’m probably a mermaid.

5 – Love of my life. King/Queen of my heart. A book I would sell my soul to.

4 – Amazing. Mind-blowing. But a little bit lacking.

3 – Like a rollercoaster, it has its ups and downs.

2 – Lots of potential but poor execution.

1 – This book should be burnt and its ashes should be scattered across the sea.

*I add half-shells to my ratings if my feelings about a book are mixed or unsure.

This is where I can get all spoilery and ranty and nitpicky to my heart’s content. Most likely, this is also where I can freely express my unpopular opinions… because I do have a lot of those. Just remember kiddos, no hate! Anything you read on this blog is my opinion and my opinion alone. You have an opinion? Cool. I have one too. I’ll respect yours, and you’ll respect mine because that’s what mature humans do.
