I’m back with another unboxing post! I wasn’t able to make posts for the November and the December boxes because I still haven’t received either of them. There were some issues with the tracking (they got lost in the mail, I guess) and I’m thinking I might do a late double unboxing once I finally have them. Despite all this, the team at FairyLoot has been exceptional. They responded quickly to my concerns, and even managed to get the January box to me within a week from the dispatch date (normally, it would take at least three weeks) so kudos to them! They’re absolutely amazing!
All right! Let’s get on with the unboxing, shall we?
First item in the box is a Prince Cardan candle from Meraki Candles! It has a fresh woodsy scent with a hint of spice–exactly what I imagine a fairy prince would smell like.
Next up is this vegan lip balm from Geeky Clean! According to the spoiler card, you can get either a Seelie or an Unseelie lip balm. The one I got in my box is Unseelie, which smells of and tastes like honey!
These two magnetic bookmarks are from Dreamy and Co. They are, of course, Feyre and Rhysand from ACOTAR. Even though I’m personally not a fan of the series, I have to admit they’re pretty damn cute!
There’s also a Faerieland Coloring Book from Michael O’Mara. It’s another FairyLoot exclusive and it’s filled with pages upon pages of magical beings. I’m a sucker for all things mythical and magical so I’m definitely excited to start coloring these in.
Here we have an exclusive pillowcase desgined by Evie Seo! Another one inspired by a SJM series, the pillow has a well-loved quote from A Court of Wings and Ruin.
We get two exclusive reversible art prints! On one side we have this incredibly amazing artwork of Aelin (and Rowan) by Diana Worak. Flip them over and you’ll have quotes from Julie Kagawa and Cassandra Clare, designed by Stella’s Bookish Art.
Last but not the least, we have the book of the month. One of the most highly anticipated books of 2018: The Cruel Prince by Holly Black! It comes with a signed bookplate, a letter from the author, and a small print of Prince Cardan by Merwild. I’ve been pretty hyped for this as well and I’m so, so excited to dive into it… as soon as I finish the books I’m currently reading (I say “currently” even though I’m not reading any of them because reading slump blech)
And that’s it for this month’s FairyLoot! The February box’s theme is Twisted Tales. I think I might have an idea what the featured book is going to be, and if I’m right, it’s another book that I’m incredibly excited for. The items included will be inspired by various Brothers Grimm fairytales. I absolutely can’t wait!
