A billion thanks to Alaina from An Infinite Book World for nominating me! And sorry it took waaaay too long for me to finally get my post up. I have terrible memory, and apparently plastering post-its filled with reminders all over my wall barely helps…

Facts About Me
◊ I don’t like large books.
I know, I know. It’s weird. A large book means there’s more to read. That should be a good thing, right? Well, they tire me out. I feel like I never get anywhere with them and if it takes me too long to read a book, I start to question my enjoyment of it. Anything more than 400 pages is a nope for me. That being said…
◊ I do read large books, but only on my kindle.
Okay so my issue with large books is that I constantly feel as though I’m not making any progress. Reading a physical book makes it even worse because I can see how much I still have to read. With a kindle/e-reader, I don’t get to see how many pages I have left, which helps a ton. Also, I think the fact that my eyes can’t bounce around random parts of the book while I’m reading also plays a part.
◊ I used to be a picky reader.
Like really, really picky. I still kind of am but I’m definitely way more open with my reading choices now compared to back then (and proudly so!)
◊ I didn’t like reading books with male protagonists when I was younger.
I only liked female protagonists, and more or less wouldn’t read a book if the protagonist was male.
◊ I judge books by their covers.
I hate shitty covers. If a book has a cover that looks awful, 90% of the time I won’t buy it unless I already know it’s a good book. Listen. A book cover’s job is to entice potential buyers into actually buying the book. In short, it has to be aesthetically pleasing.
◊ I still have most of my childhood books.
I’ve talked about this briefly in an old post, but I have trouble getting rid of childhood books. They’re too precious to me, and they hold so many wonderful memories. My oldest book would be this large collection of different short stories, nursery rhymes, and lullabies. It doesn’t even have a cover anymore, but I love it dearly.
◊ I have a lot of cats.
Thought I’d end this off with a non-book related fact! My family likes to rescue strays. Currently, we have around twenty cats. We had nearly the same number of dogs before, but we were able to find permanent homes for most of them. Sadly enough, cats don’t seem to be nearly as adoptable, so they more or less are stuck with us. Totally fine by me though. The more, the merrier!
As for my nominees:
Go wild, you guys! Hope you’ll have as much fun with this as I did!
